The Commercial Port of Namibe is the third largest port in Angola, is also the leading freight gateway to the south of Angola, serving as a support to importers of the provinces of Cunene, Huambo, Huila and Kuando Kubango. In 2013 there was a turnover of approximately 30,000 TEUs and about 80 000 tonnes of general cargo (mainly cement and granite).
SOGESTER SA. Namibe, is the managing entity of the Commercial Port of Namibe and uses the experience we have in Luanda port sector; whereas the company intends to:
- Increase the volume of cargo handled at the terminal.
- Attract new lines of navigation.
- Attract and engage importers of the southern zone that continue to use the port of Walvis Bay to import their goods.
- Improve the logistics corridor of Moçâmedes.
- Implement security policies, hygiene and environment in the workplace.

Customer service
For an efficient service we have a counter in the OSS (One Stop Shop) at the Port of Luanda, where invoicing services are done, along with the issuance of pre-gates, claims and payments.
The OSS is an initiative of the Port of Luanda to service the importers.
